چکیده

Native wild yeasts from forest ecosystems represent an interesting potential source of biocontrol organisms in synergy with disease-tolerant materials. Yeasts have a combination competitive mechanisms and low requirements for their biotechnological application as agents. The current study aimed to increase the number candidates against Fusarium circinatum Diplodia sapinea. enzymatic antagonistic activities were evaluated using different screening methods, which direct impact on growth pathogen was measured well some properties such cellulose lignin degradation, tolerance biocides, volatile compound production, or iron effect, may be interest processes related management diseases. A total 58 yeast strains belonging 21 species obtained oak vineyard evaluated. treatment behaved differently depending plant clone. 2g isolate (Torulaspora delbrueckii) showed highest inhibitory activity D. sapinea 25q 90q (Saccharomyces paradoxus) F. circinatum. Clones IN416 IN216 most susceptible tolerant sapinea, respectively, while opposite observed

Wild Grape-Associated Yeasts as Promising Biocontrol Agents against Vitis vinifera Fungal Pathogens

The increasing level of hazardous residues in the environment and food chains has led the European Union to restrict the use of chemical fungicides. Thus, exploiting new natural antagonistic microorganisms against fungal diseases could serve the agricultural production to reduce pre- and post-harvest losses, to boost safer practices for workers and to protect the consumers' health. The main aim...

Native Killer Yeasts as Biocontrol Agents of Postharvest Fungal Diseases in Lemons

Economic losses caused by postharvest diseases represent one of the main problems of the citrus industry worldwide. The major diseases affecting citrus are the "green mold" and "blue mold", caused by Penicillium digitatum and P. italicum, respectively. To control them, synthetic fungicides are the most commonly used method. However, often the emergence of resistant strains occurs and their use ...

The Potential of Streptomyces as Biocontrol Agents against the Rice Blast Fungus, Magnaporthe oryzae (Pyricularia oryzae)

Rice is a staple food source for more than three billion people worldwide. However, rice is vulnerable to diseases, the most destructive among them being rice blast, which is caused by the fungus Magnaporthe oryzae (anamorph Pyricularia oryzae). This fungus attacks rice plants at all stages of development, causing annual losses of approximately 10-30% in various rice producing regions. Syntheti...

3-Amidocoumarins as Potential Multifunctional Agents against Neurodegenerative Diseases.

Monoamine oxidase (MAO) generates reactive oxygen species (ROS), which cause neuronal cell death, causing neurodegeneration. Agents that are able to concurrently inhibit MAO and scavenge free radicals represent promising multifunctional neuroprotective agents that could be used to delay or slow the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. In this work, variously substituted 3-amidocoumarins a...

Polyphenols as potential therapeutical agents against cardiovascular diseases.

Increasing evidence suggests that polyphenols from fruits, vegetables and beverages such as wine and tea may exert protective effects on the cardiovascular system. Indeed, research in the field of polyphenols points out their antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties, leading to lower low-density lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation and platelet aggregation. These compounds are also able to mod...
